Wellness
Nurse On The Move strives to serve marginalized communities through education, health screening, and better equipping individuals with the knowledge needed to maintain great health.

Through our philanthropy engagements we offer health screenings by monitoring blood pressure, glucose, and pulse oximetry alongside local doctors for the continuation of care.

Our goal is to see the reduction of
acute, chronic, & preventable diseases
while giving individuals hope for the future.
By educating individuals in underserved and underprivileged communities we are able to
increase knowledge and understanding of individuals suffering from certain illnesses and diseases.
We understand that a healthy mind is the breeding grounds for a healthy body.
We also seek to open up the conversation about how mental and physical health go hand in hand.
Our Outreaches
Down below, you will find some of the outreaches we had a chance of partaking.
Nguzo
We partnered with Joy Trip and had the privilege of bringing joy, education, and connection to the incredible children at Nguzo Saba Institute in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. We donated essential school supplies, shared moments of laughter, and witnessed the pure magic of the children singing and dancing.
Breast Cancer Awareness & Screening Event
In October 2024, Nurse on the Move hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness & Screening Event in Kasoa with Bri The Nurse to bring education, early detection, and support to the community. Through free breast screenings, health education, and open discussions, we empowered women with the knowledge and resources to take charge of their health.
With the help of our dedicated volunteers and healthcare professionals, we made an impact by raising awareness and encouraging proactive health management.
Empowering Women’s Health
Nurse on the Move, in partnership with Travel Deeper Inc**.**, hosted the Empowering Women’s Health event at the Awuto Mansah Widows Association in Bawjiase, Central Region of Ghana. This impactful event provided essential health screenings, education, and outreach to women in the community, with a strong focus on fibroid prevention, treatment, and overall well-being.
A key addition to this event was "Telling Our Stories," a powerful initiative led by Travel Deeper Inc**.**, allowing women to share their journeys and experiences, fostering community and healing. Meanwhile, children from the literacy program Libraries Without Walls joined in with vibrant painting and arts activities, bringing creativity and intergenerational connection to the day.
Afrofuture x DRP x NOTM
Nurse on the Move partnered with AfroFuture and Distant Relatives Project to bring meaningful impact to the vibrant community of Nima, Ghana.
Through health screenings, education, and community engagement, we provided essential resources while fostering connections that transcend borders.
This outreach was more than just an event—it was a testament to the power of collaboration, cultural exchange, and giving back.
World Health Day
On World Health Day 2022, we collaborated with the Washington, DC Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Sorority, Whitman-Walker, and the Distant Relatives Project to organize a compassionate initiative aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare support to the homeless population of Washington, DC.
This partnership brought together dedicated healthcare professionals, community organizations, and volunteers to deliver essential health screenings, education, HIV screenings, and donations.
Libraries without Walls
The Libraries Without Walls Outreach, organized by an NGO in Accra, Ghana, took place on December 31, 2022. The goal of this initiative was to increase literacy among children by donating books, school supplies, and laptops. The outreach aimed to expand literacy opportunities, encourage creativity, foster community engagement, and motivate children to reach their goals.
Medical Outreach

The Medical Outreach – Auto Mansah, held consecutively in 2021 and 2022, was a dedicated initiative aimed at providing health screening and education to widows. The outreach program focused on conducting blood pressure and glucose screenings while also offering education about acute and chronic diseases, as well as their associated risk factors.
Through these screenings, the outreach aimed to assess the participants’ health status, identify potential issues, and raise awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups. By measuring blood pressure and glucose levels, the initiative sought to detect any abnormalities and provide early intervention or referrals for further medical attention if necessary.
Sustainable Development Goals

Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals set by the UN in 2015 to be achieved by 2030. These goals are designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all".
