What are the terms and conditions for NOTM travel services?

Flight Information:

How do I arrange my flight for the trip?

Contact our travel agent, Aaron (aaron@theonetravelclub.com), for assistance with flights. While there is no obligation to use him, it’s advisable to compare prices with the airline. If you encounter issues, contact us. Please be mindful of the departure date and factor in travel time with arrival.

What is the best way to book my flight?

You have the option to book yourself or utilize a respected travel agent, Aaron Duah (aaron@theonetravelclub.com) with the option of a payment plan. 

Be sure to ensure your flight is insured before finalizing booking.

Airport Pick-up and Drop-off:

Is there an option for pick-up and drop-off from the airport?

Yes, we provide pick-up and drop-off services from the airport. Please email us your travel itinerary to arrange this service for a seamless arrival and departure experience.

Ghana Tourism Visa:

How can I apply for a tourism visa and can NOTM assist with the process?

You have two options. NOTM can assist you in the visa application process for an additional fee. Alternatively, you can apply independently at https://ghanaembassydc.org/visa/. If you choose NOTM’s assistance, please contact us at info@nurseonthemove.com for more details on the service.

Visa Types and Recommendations:

What types of visas are available, and when should I obtain them?

Visa types include Multiple Entry (3 years) and Single Entry (3 months). It is recommended to obtain a Multiple Entry visa. NOTM suggests that you wait until the end of October or the beginning of November to apply for a Single Entry. If that is the better option for you. Health Precautions – Food and Medications:

What health precautions should I take regarding food and medications?

Bring Imodium, Pepto Bismol, and anti-nausea medicine. Do not consume water from the faucet, ice cubes, or raw vegetables while in Ghana. We recommend bringing snacks, liquor, and water in your carry-on. Bottle water is consumable in Ghana. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions.

What are the health requirements in Ghana?

 Make an appointment for a Yellow Fever vaccination and Malaria pills at your local health office. NOTM recommends you schedule ASAP due to increased travel during the holiday season and appointments & vaccines tend to be limited.

Please do not forget to bring proof of your health requirements.

Is it OK to drink tap water while in Ghana?

We strongly discourage travelers’ to use any water that is not from a bottle. Drinking water is available for sale in hotels, gas stations, and super markets. 

What if I need to go to the hospital or I get sick?

There are private and public hospitals and clinics available in all cities and big towns. All tourists should obtain medical insurance prior to travel to cover any medical contingencies while away from their home countries.

What if I test positive for COVID upon arrival to Ghana?

If you test positive upon arrival you will be required to quarantine at a designated health facility or isolation center at the travelers’ expense. Then will be tested at day 3 and at day 7. However, COVID-19 testing at the airport is not required at this time.

What if I test positive for COVID upon departure?

If you test positive before leaving Ghana you will be required to quarantine at your hotel of choice in Ghana until you test negative at the travelers’ expense. Nurse On The Move will assist in facilitating a comfortable place in the event that this happens.

Currency and Money Exchange:

What currency is used in Ghana, and where should I exchange money?

The currency in Ghana is Cedi. Exchange more than you think you need, and you can always exchange your Cedis back to USD. Exchange money at the airport for the best rates, near the baggage claim.

Estimated Spending:

How much money does NOTM suggest I should expect to spend during the trip?

NOTM recommends budgeting approximately $1000 for your spending during the trip. However, individual spending patterns may vary, and it’s always better to have more spending money than not enough. Feel free to plan according to your preferences and activities.

Travel Insurance:

Is travel insurance necessary?

Yes, travel insurance is highly recommended. It covers trip cancellation, COVID-19 coverage, trip interruption, emergency medical/transportation, and lost/damaged baggage. Ensure your flight is also insured. If you choose not to obtain travel insurance, you will need to sign a declination form.

Final Payment and Refund Policy:

When is the final payment due, and what is the refund policy?

The final payment is due two months prior to the trip departure. There will be no refunds. NOTM recommends obtaining Medical & Travel insurance in the event of an emergency.

 

MISC:

Do I need a passport to travel to Ghana?

Yes, a passport is required by all.

How is the weather and what should I bring to wear?

Ghana’s climate is warm and tropical all year round, usually between 80 and 90 degrees. Sometimes it can be dusty, so be sure to bring allergy medicine if dust and pollen bother you. Pack light, washable cotton clothing and casual wear. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and comfortable walking shoes. There are no restrictions on what men and women may wear. Slacks and shorts for both sexes are permissible. Bring bug spray if you are concerned with bugs, and insects. Do I need a specific electrical plug?

For Ghana, there are two associated plug types, D and G. Plug type D is the plug which has three round pins in a triangular pattern and type G is the plug which has three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern. Ghana operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. Be sure to bring an international adapter and a portable charger.

Can I use my credit card?

The most widely accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard. These cards are accepted in major hotels, restaurants, banks and businesses. However, be cautious when using your credit to avoid fraud. Cash is the recommended form of payment and all monies can be exchanged at the airport upon arrival.

Is tipping customary here?

Tipping is permitted in hotels, restaurants, etc. It is rarely added to the bill. Whenever it is not added, the quality of service should dictate your generosity to the waiter, taxi driver, porter, tour guide, etc.

 

Terms and Conditions

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions:

      • These terms and conditions govern your use of travel services provided by Nurse On The Move, LLC (NOTM).
      • By engaging in our travel services, you, the traveler (“Traveler”), explicitly agree to adhere to and be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”).
      • It is imperative to comprehend that your utilization of NOTM services is contingent upon your acceptance of these Terms. If there is any aspect of these Terms that you do not agree with, refrain from using NOTM services.
      • Modifying these Terms is only permissible in writing by an authorized officer of NOTM.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

      • The initial trip deposit and all subsequent payments are both non-refundable and non-transferable.
      • Travelers are obligated to procure travel insurance to participate in NOTM travel services.
      • Understanding that travel insurance is the sole avenue for financial reimbursement in the event of trip cancellation or alterations.
      • A refund, in this context, refers to the return of funds from our account to yours. No refunds are given under any circumstances.

Additional Booking Policies:

  • Male attendees are mandated to secure a single room if a suitable roommate is not finalized before the booking.

COVID-19 Policy:

  • NOTM reserves the right to cancel any trip for reasons such as global pandemics, natural disasters, border closings, acts of God, acts of war/terrorism, civil unrest, or turmoil.
  • In the instance of trip cancellation, travelers will exclusively receive a travel credit for a future trip within a designated time frame.
  • Travelers may be required to present a negative COVID-19 test, and vaccination may be mandatory. NOTM will not reimburse those opting not to be vaccinated if their destination has such a requirement.

Passport, Visa, and Travel Entry Requirements:

  • International travel necessitates a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the final trip date.
  • NOTM bears no responsibility for losses or delays resulting from expired or invalid passports.
  • Travelers are individually responsible for securing additional visas or documents, and due to COVID-19, additional travel documents may be mandatory.
  • Any required visas, vaccinations and travel documents MUST be obtained no later than 1 month prior to . If the vaccination has not been taken or travel documents have not been obtained by this date, the reservation will be canceled.

Flight Booking Deadline:

  • All flight tickets to travel destination MUST be purchased one month prior to arrival.
  • If NOTM doesn’t receive your booking confirmation by that date, your booking with NOTM will be canceled.
  • All flights must land in travel destination on Day One of NOTM travel itinerary. In the event of an early arrival at travel destination, hotel accommodation can be reserved through NOTM for an additional fee, or you will be responsible for making your own accommodations.

Payment Plans:

  • Travelers enrolled in a payment plan must promptly sign up for a WooCommerce payment plan post-booking.
  • Failure to enroll before the upcoming payment deadline may result in trip cancellation and forfeiture of the initial deposit.

Travel Insurance Clause:

  • Travel Insurance is HIGHLY recommended but not required to when taveling with Nurse on the Move.
  • Recommended travel insurance agencies include Allianz, Travelinsurance.com, and several other options.
  • Travel insurance covers aspects such as trip cancellation, COVID-19 coverage, trip interruption, emergency medical/transportation, and lost/damaged baggage.
  • Ensure your flight is insured separately from travel insurance.
  • If you choose not to obtain travel insurance, you will have to sign a declination form. Declination forms are due one month prior to departure. You will have to sign a physical declination form upon arrival at trip location.

Risk, Safety, and Liability:

  • Traveler comprehends that foreign countries may possess different systems and inherent risks. NOTM does not assume responsibility for traveler safety.
  • Traveler takes full responsibility for risks associated with travel, encompassing quarantine, civil unrest, terrorism, public health risks, and natural disasters.
  • Traveler formally releases NOTM from any claims arising from activities or travel associated with participation in the trip.

Photography and Video:

  • NOTM possesses the right to utilize pictures and videos taken during the trip for promotional materials without any compensation.

Communication Channel:

  • All communication related to NOTM services should be conducted via NOTM’s official email: info@nurseonthemove.com. There will be times clearer to our departure date when NOTM reaches out via phone calls & text messaging but the preferred method of communication is through email.

General Provisions:

  • No deviations or alterations to these Terms are valid unless communicated in writing by an authorized NOTM officer.
  • Non-compliance or disagreement with any portion of these Terms prohibits utilizing NOTM services.
